our process
Applying for a new job can feel a bit like jumping off a diving board with your eyes closed. It's easier when you know what’s coming, so we’ve put together a rundown of how we do things around here to help you take the leap.
your application
It might sound obvious, but you’ll need to get the ball rolling by applying for the role you’re interested in. We’ll try and get back to you within two weeks, but it might be a bit longer if it’s a busy spell.
If we think you’re a good match, someone from our talent team will arrange a call to find out more about you and cover some practical bits.
If that goes well, congratulations – you’re through to the first interview.
the first interview
You’ll meet the line manager for the role and someone else from the same team or a different one. They’ll ask about things like your skills, experience, and why you’d be a great addition to innocent.
the second interview
We’ll ask you to complete a task, which we’ll usually send before the interview. We might give it to you on the day if that’s similar to how you’d do the job, but we’ll always let you know in advance.
On the day, you’ll run a couple of people from the business through your response to the task. They’ll ask you some questions about the decisions you made, and a few more about how you’d put our values into practice in different situations.

The whole thing’s usually wrapped up in two interviews, with an extra stage for some roles (we’ll let you know either way). We might chat in person or on Microsoft Teams, and we’ll try to get you to the office at least once during the process so we can show you our shoes and ply you with smoothies.

other useful tips
wear what you want
Our dress code is casual so wear whatever you’re comfortable in. Just make it a step up from your pyjamas. We don’t want you falling asleep.
know where you're going
If you’re coming into the office, jot down our address so you don’t get lost – and have the banana phone number handy in case you do.
memorise a name
Remember who to ask for when you get to reception. There are lots of excellent people working here, we just need to know which one you’ve come to see.
have a drink on us
We’ve got a fridge full of smoothies and we’ll offer you one (or three) while you wait. We recommend giving them a go. They’re quite good.
breathe
We’re really not that scary, so don’t stress about it too much. Just be yourself and the best version of it.
a few FAQs
I'd love to work for innocent, but there's nothing here for me. Can I send you my CV?
Whilst new data protection rules make the world a better, less spammy place, they do have rules saying we can't keep CVs in our mailbox anymore. Sorry about that.
Do you offer internships, apprenticeships or work placements?
Sometimes. We advertise all of these programmes on our vacancies page when they come up, so keep your eyes peeled.
I don't see a closing date/I'm running a bit late. When's the deadline?
We don’t always list a deadline as every hiring process goes differently, so if you see something you like it's best to get your skates on and apply. If the role you're interested in isn’t listed anymore it probably means it's gone, but not to worry – something else is bound to pop up soon.
I’m not sure the job is for me. Can I ask you a few questions before I apply?
We’d love to answer every burning question, but sadly there just aren’t enough of us. We try to answer lots of them here on our careers site and give as much detail as we can in the job advert. Your best bet is to go ahead and apply. If it’s a good fit, you’ll have plenty of time to ask questions at the interview stage.
Do you offer flexible working for your office based jobs?
Yep. We’re always happy to have a chat about things like starting and finishing at different times, or other adjustments that work better for you. Your first call or interview are a good time to do that. We’ll mention in the advert if a role has a part-time option. We are more in the office than out, which means you'll be in the office three days a week
I saw your advert online but when I clicked the link, it didn't take me anywhere. Why's that?
If we fill a job we’ll take it off our website, but sometimes it can be a bit slower coming off third-party sites we’ve advertised it on. If we’ve taken the job off our site, the link won’t work anywhere else.
I've had an interview. How long can I expect to wait for feedback?
Every process is different so it's tricky for us to give specific timelines. We do our best to get back to you as soon as we can, and give feedback to everyone we interview. If you haven’t heard from us within two weeks, give the person who organised your interview a nudge.
I’ve received an email telling me I’ve been unsuccessful. Can you tell me why?
We get a huge number of applications, so we’re afraid we can’t give individual feedback to everyone before the first interview stage. Sorry about that.
Can I apply from my mobile?
You bet. Use your phone to apply from the bus, the sofa, or even the loo. We’re not judging.
The system won’t let me apply or upload my CV. The page isn’t loading or keeps redirecting me. What should I do?
Sorry, that must be frustrating. We might be updating the site behind the scenes. Give it a bit of time, and if you’re still having the same problem drop us an email to hello@innocentdrinks.co.uk and we’ll help get your application through.
Just so you know, we won’t be able to answer questions about your application at that email address. For those sorts of queries, your best bet are these FAQs.I’ve applied before and wasn’t successful. Can I re-apply?
Sorry to hear it didn’t work out last time. We get lots of applications and we can’t hire everyone, as much as we’d like to. That doesn’t mean you’re not a great fit for a different role, so if you’ve found another you like the look of please do apply.
