Drinks recipes aren’t the only ones we’re passionate about. We’ve also come up with a solid formula for helping our people learn and develop, and we’ve used it to cook up some really useful programmes. They’re a mix of in-person and virtual sessions, so everyone can learn in a way that suits their style and schedule.

coaching & mentoring
We’ve got some brilliant people working here with loads of experience to share, and our coaching and mentoring programmes are all about tapping into their wisdom. Want a confidential space to reflect and work things out? We’ve got a pool of Super Coaches ready to help. Fancy chatting to someone who’s been there and done that? Our mentors are all ears.

At My Best, our very own leadership programme
We all need different skills to do our day jobs. But when it comes to understanding ourselves and the people we work with, we all benefit from learning the same ‘soft skills’ – things like influencing, giving feedback and helping people feel psychologically safe. We’re not sure why they’re called ‘soft’ as they can be quite hard to master, which is why we encourage everyone at every level of the business to take part in this training. That way we’re helping everyone to be their best selves, equipped with the skills to navigate challenges, change and Monday mornings.

Manager School
Being a people manager is a big deal. So at innocent, we send anyone who takes on the important task to Manager School. The lessons are designed to help them feel confident, supported and ready to lead, whether they’re brand new to it or need a refresh. Every day’s a school day round here (but hopefully with less chewing gum under the desks).

our Shadow Board
Want a seat at the (boardroom) table? Our Shadow Board is made up of people from all over innocent, who bring different perspectives to board meetings and decision making. It’s a unique way to see how the big calls get made, learn from our leaders, and help shape the future of the business.

the innocent scholarship
We know people are better at their jobs when they can nurture their passions, which is why we offer some cash to a handful of our people through the innocent scholarship each year. Anyone can pitch to learn a new skill, take on a challenge or pursue a project outside their day job, and the whole company votes for the winners.
Past scholars have studied carpentry, learned instruments and turned their nan’s recipes into a cookbook. That last legend went on to become a famous food writer. Our loss is the culinary world’s gain. Sob.
