Junior Indirect Procurement Buyer

Here at innocent, we’re on a mission to make it easier for everyone to get more fruit and veg into their bodies. We started back in 1999 and since then we’ve gone from selling a few smoothies at a music festival to becoming one of Europe’s biggest drinks companies with around 1,000 people (and the B Corp seal of approval).

Background around the role

We’ve built our very first innocent-owned factory, called the blender, and we’ve got a big ambition: to make it the Earth’s favourite little healthy drinks factory. With more than 220 people and 24/7 production, the blender makes over 400 million bottles a year. As our Junior Indirect Procurement Buyer, you’ll help keep everything running smoothly by sourcing the goods and services our factory needs every day. You’ll work closely with teams across Operations, Engineering, Finance, Sustainability and our Supply Chain team in London to deliver great value, strong supplier partnerships and continuous improvements.

You’ll be

• Owning the day-to-day procurement of indirect goods and services for the blender, including consumables, facilities services and laboratory equipment.
• Monitoring supplier markets and spotting opportunities, risks and cost-saving ideas.
• Running Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and Requests for Proposal (RFPs), evaluating supplier offers and supporting negotiations.
• Managing contracts from start to finish, making sure they meet business needs and support smooth operations.
• Working closely with Finance and Operations to track spend, manage budgets and improve forecasting.
• Acting as the main contact for supplier performance reviews, service issues and supplier relationship management.
• Supporting blender teams with purchasing processes, purchase orders and invoice validation.
• Identifying and delivering improvements that make procurement simpler, smarter and more sustainable.

You’ll have

• 1–2 years’ procurement experience, ideally within a manufacturing, food production or supply chain environment.
• Experience managing multiple categories of goods and services.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with a good eye for detail.
• Good commercial awareness and confidence negotiating with suppliers.
• The ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at different levels.
• Fluent communication skills in both Dutch and English.
