Here at innocent, we’re on a mission to make it easier for everyone to get more fruit and veg into their bodies. We started back in 1999 and since then we’ve gone from selling a few smoothies at a music festival to becoming one of Europe’s biggest drinks companies with around 1,000 people (and the B Corp seal of approval).
It’s nice to be able to say things like that but we’re not patting ourselves on the back just yet. We want to show everyone that it’s possible to be a successful business while looking after people and the planet too, so we’re trying to get better in pretty much every way. And that’s where this job comes in.
innocent is growing into the next chapter of its story, shifting from a big little company to a little big company. With that comes new responsibilities, new systems and new opportunities to make our reporting smarter, clearer and more joined up than ever. Our group finance team sits at the centre of this, making sure we understand how the whole business is performing and sharing that story in a way that everyone can follow.
We’re looking for a Group Reporting Manager who enjoys bringing structure to complexity and clarity to big numbers. You’ll build strong links with finance teams across our regions, helping make sure our consolidated results are accurate, timely and fully compliant. It’s a role for someone who likes detail, likes problem solving and likes the feeling of bringing order to something important.
You’ll be
- Owning the group’s consolidated monthly reporting for internal teams and our shareholder Coca Cola
- Preparing consolidation journals and managing the consolidation ledger
- Carrying out key checks across intercompany balances, eliminations and other core accounts
- Maintaining reconciliations between different reporting views including IFRS, US GAAP and foreign exchange
- Preparing shareholder submissions and supporting follow up questions and improvements
- Resolving differences between internal consolidation and final shareholder numbers
- Building strong relationships with regional finance teams to shape best practice
- Managing and improving the group cashflow process including the budget cycle
You’ll have
- Strong reporting skills and a feel for what good structure and rigour look like
- Clear communication skills with the ability to turn technical detail into something everyone can understand
- An eye for detail and a natural curiosity that helps you spot gaps before they become issues
- A thoughtful, organised approach to managing work across multiple topics
- Confidence getting hands on with systems and tools to make processes simpler and more robust
- A steady, practical mindset when tackling complex problems
You’ll get
- A central role in shaping the future of innocent’s reporting framework as the business continues to grow
- The chance to work closely with teams across innocent and with colleagues in the wider Coca Cola network
- A front row view of how the business operates, and opportunities to help others understand reporting requirements
- Involvement in projects that improve how we consolidate, forecast and share our financial story
- Space to experiment with better ways of working and leave things simpler than you found them
- The opportunity to stretch your technical skills while influencing how reporting evolves across the group
We want innocent to be a great place to work, so we do lots of stuff to make people feel at home and try to make sure everyone’s career is shaping up the way they want it to. There are plenty of opportunities to have a go at something new or take things further.
In exchange for helping us do business in the right way, you’ll get a solid rewards package that includes a salary (phew), private healthcare, a target-based bonus, and a bunch of other nice things like a day off on your birthday. And yes, you get free smoothies.
We also know that not all our drinkers come from the same background, or think the same – so why should we? At innocent, we want to be a great place to work where a diverse bunch of people from all backgrounds can turn up and thrive. When we hire, we want all the juice, bits, and pulp that make you who you are.
Even if you don’t think you can tick all the boxes, if the job sounds right for you, come and throw your hat in the ring.
Probably best to get your skates on though, as we might close this early if we get loads of applications.
